If things weren’t already going bad for Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), they have now been rocked with harassment allegations made by a lady from Dubai. Sri Lanka team is on the middle of a Tour in Dubai. They were recently whitewashed by Pakistan in the 5-match ODI series and are now preparing for the T20i series.
The lady, who claims to be an event organizer, has claimed that a SLC official offered her through Media box and tried to convince her to stay in the room, in the same hotel where he is staying. The lady thoroughly denied his offer and instead posted the incident on her twitter handle.
Since the authenticity of this incident is yet to be proved, SLC President Thilanga Sumathipala has also taken the allegation seriously and ordered for an immediate inquiry.
“SLC President instructed the CEO to call for an immediate investigation through the SLC Security & Ethics officer,” a top SLC official told Cricket Age.
“At a time when Sri Lanka team is going to be the first international team to revive Cricket in Pakistan, this kind of shameful act can’t be ignored.”

Meanwhile, in Pakistan..
The first two matches will be played on October 26 and 27 while the third match is scheduled to be played on October 29 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. A two-member security delegation from Sri Lanka visited Lahore today to assess the conditions.
As Sri Lanka’s sports minister announced on Wednesday that he would join the national cricket team on their first match in Pakistan since gunmen attacked their team bus in Lahore eight years ago, he has joined the Pakistan tour today.
Dayasiri Jayasekara said Sri Lanka was satisfied with security preparations for the Twenty20 final in Lahore later in October despite reservations from several players. Infact, many key players like Lasith Malinga, Angelo Mathews and Upal Tharanga already pulled out from the tour.
