Star Sri Lanka all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga shared an emotional moment with her sister during her wedding which happened three months ago. In a video, surfaced on social media the 26-year-old could be seen struggling to control his emotions while hugging his sibling. The cricketer also congratulated his brother-in-law while wiping his tears.

In the same vein, a video of Hasaranga went viral, which highlights the bond between the cricketer and his sister. The video has been shared by numerous users of the microblogging platform and the comment section got flooded with heartfelt comments. Following the wedding, the cricketer has shared a few snaps from the ceremony on Instagram.

“Words can't express how much I love you. May you always stay happy and blessed in your new journey. Still, You are my sister and forever," he captioned the post.

Hasaranga led B Love Kandy to their maiden LPL title

Wanindu Hasaranga had an unforgettable campaign in the recently concluded Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023. The 26-year-old captained B Love Kandy to their first-ever LPL title after outplaying Dambulla Aura in the summit clash on August 20. Apart from winning the title, he was also named Player of the Tournament for his stunning performances throughout the competition.

The willy leg spinner finished the campaign as the leading run-scorer, amassing 279 runs from 10 matches with a decent average of 34.87 and a strike rate of 189. The spin-bowling all-rounder was also impressive with the ball as he was the leading wicket-taker, bagging 19 wickets at an excellent economy rate of 5.51.

Moreover, he did not play in the summit clash due to a thigh strain. Notably, he is likely to miss a few games of the much-awaited Asia Cup 2023. The Continental championship will be contested in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, respectively, from August 30 to September 17. Sri Lanka will start their campaign on August 31 against Bangladesh, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, in Kandy.
