On one hand, the Asia Cup 2022 finals between Sri Lanka and Pakistan is turning out to be a thrilling encounter at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, but on the other hand, the Indian cricket fans are not being allowed inside the stadium for the summit clash. In a shocking incident, the cricket fans were stopped from entering the stadium for watching the finale.

Both Sri Lanka and Pakistan fought head and toe to make it to the finals of the continental tournament. While Sri Lanka topped the Super Four stage by winning all three fixtures, Pakistan lost just one game - against Sri Lanka, but it was a dress rehearsal game as both the teams had made it to the big stage even before playing their final game of the Super Four.

While many cricketing fans enjoyed the final game inside the stadium, there were a few who were barred from entering the stadium because they were wearing the Indian fan jerseys. In a video shared by The Bharat Army, a fan group of the Indian cricket team, a cricket fan is seen informing his viewers that he, alongside two more fans, was stopped from entering the stadium.

The fans were asked to leave the stadium because they were sporting an Indian fan jersey. One of them revealed in the video that the cops pushed them and told them ‘India go out, go back. Don’t wear this jersey’. The fan further said that as fans of the game, they all were at the game only to watch the match and have fun but they were restricted from doing so.

Another female fan, who was a part of the video, said that she was told to wear either the Pakistan or Sri Lanka fan jersey to enter the stadium. Kunal, the fan who shot the video, said that if such behavior had been displayed by another fan or supporter of one of the two finalists’ team then they would have still accepted the behavior, but it was the security officials behaving with sheer disgrace.

The fans had purchased the tickets to watch the big game, and they complained that they were not made aware of it beforehand. They said that they would have not sported the Indian fan jersey had they mentioned it in the mail or while purchasing the tickets. But the administration did not do so, and the fans had to suffer even when they were not at fault.
