Team Afghanistan is having an excellent outing in the 2022 T20 Asia Cup as they have already beaten Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to qualify for the Super Four stage. The Afghani side was clinical in their first match as they completely thrashed the Lanka side.

In their next encounter, Afghanistan was in some trouble during the chase, but some excellent batting from Ibrahim Zadran and Najibullah Zadran meant that their team won both matches. After the match against Bangladesh, Afghanistan skipper Mohammad Nabi came up with a heartfelt gesture towards a specially-abled fan, which is going viral on social media platforms.

The video shows Mohammad Nabi greeting a wheelchair-bound elderly fan

In a 13-second video posted on Twitter, Nabi can be seen walking up to the elderly fan, accompanied by a man, and bowing in front of her to seek blessings. The old lady then also kisses Nabi on the forehead.

As mentioned above, Afghanistan batters showed some grit with the bat against Bangladesh and qualified for the next stage of Asia Cup 2022. After the match, Nabi said, "Everyone knows both Mujeeb and Rashid are world class bowlers. They again showed their talent and ability. We plan to take early wickets to be ahead in the game. Everyone knows that we have power hitters in our team. We finished the game really well. Gurbaz tried a lot but couldn't hit them well. Shakib bowled brilliantly."

Meanwhile, both Bangladesh and Sri Lanka will take on each other in a must-win clash, slated to be played at Sharjah Cricket Stadium on September 1 (Thursday). Both teams will look to go out with a positive intent and try to dominate the game.

For Sri Lanka, batters like Pathum Nissanka and Kusal Mendis are expected to play a crucial role for their team. At the same time, Bangladesh will be hoping that their skipper Shakib Al Hasan plays a crucial role with both bat and the ball.
