Australian team skipper Pat Cummins recently found himself amid a light-hearted exchange with a fan which left everyone chuckling. The incident occurred on Instagram, where Cummins shared delightful pictures alongside his wife, Becky Cummins, to mark Valentine's Day. The charming picture captured the couple enjoying a serene moment at the beach, accompanied by a heartfelt caption from Cummins expressing his admiration for his partner's multifaceted talents.

"Super-mum, wife, my valentine and apparently a pro-surfer too. Happy Valentine's @becky_cummins," Cummins captioned his appreciation post for his wife on his Instagram handle.

Interestingly enough, out of all the comments pouring in from fans, one caught PatCummins' attention. An Indian fan affectionately declared, "I am Indian, I love you your wife."

In response, Cummins, who is known for his quick wit both on and off the field, came up with a classic reply- "I'll pass it onto her!"

Reflecting on his stellar performances in 2023, Pat Cummins emerged as a key figure in leading Australia to victory in both the ICC World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup 2023. Both victories in the finals came against formidable opponents, including Team India. Cummins' contributions didn't go unnoticed, as he was rightfully awarded the ICC Men's Cricketer of the Year Award, a testament to his outstanding achievements. Besides, Expressing gratitude for the accolade, Cummins extended praise to Indian cricket stalwarts like. Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja, acknowledge their consistency and ability to steer their team to success even in challenging circumstances.

"It's a huge honour. It has been a big year, with lots of wonderful team success. To get this individual honor is huge and I am pretty amazed. In terms of individual accolades, it is right up there," Cummins was quoted as saying by the ICC.

"Kohli and Jadeja are super consistent, you can't keep them out of it, they find a way to drag their team out of trouble & win it, to be alongside those guys has been really special," the 30-year-old concluded.

While Cummins was not playing in the recent T20I series against West Indies, his absence didn't dampen Australia's spirits as they secured a series victory. Looking ahead, Cummins is set to return to action in the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand, starting on February 21.
