Indian head coach Rahul Dravid is one of the masters when it comes to grooming the youngsters and he had one of the best techniques in the cricketing fraternity during his time. Not many could get past his defences easily and he has worked with a lot of cricketers, including the U-19 players, to get their techniques correct.
Ahead of the second Test in the ongoing series against Bangladesh, Dravid was spotted having a closer look at the pitch. He further had a chat with the skipper KL Rahul who has struggled to convert his starts in the first Test. Dravid looked like highlighting the angled batting grip that Rahul needs to be mindful of and corrected the angle it comes from.

In the video, Rahul’s teammate Shreyas Iyer was seen completing his fitness routines while Jaydev Unadkat and Navdeep Saini joined in too. The second Test is scheduled to take place on December 22 and the series will be on the line for the home side Bangladesh.
Meanwhile, the debate over the opening slot between Rahul and Shubman Gill for the second Test came to an end after Rohit Sharma was ruled out of the Mirpur Test. Rohit was expected to recover in time for the second Test, however, the latest developments weren’t so and the opening pair of Rahul and Gill are expected to continue in the XI.
Gill scored his maiden century in Tests in the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in the previous game while Rahul had scores of 22 and 23 in the two innings. The upcoming Test will be important for Rahul to ensure he converts his starts into big knocks with regular skipper Rohit expected to hold his position once he returns.
