After their brilliant display against India, there’s a chance of belief that Hong Kong can go on to give a solid fight if not win against Pakistan. On paper, the team is pretty weak in comparison to Pakistan, but anything and everything is possible in a T20 match. Just before their all important Asia Cup game, Hong Kong captain Nizakat Khan met Babar Azam in the nets and had a candid chat with the 27-year-old.

Nizakat was spotted asking Babar Azam some tips before their big match. His team fought really hard against India and in a spin-friendly condition at Sharjah, many reckon an upset is possible. Nizakat during the chat also stated that his roots are from Pakistan and visited the nation some years back.

Meanwhile, when asked about some tips, the Pakistani captain asked “Kya tip chahiye aapko? (What tip do you want?)” He later went on to say “believe in yourself” as the video was uploaded on the official social media handle of the Pakistan Cricket.

Thank you for inspiring a generation: Team Hong Kong to Virat Kohli

Meanwhile, the senior Indian players were spotted giving some tips to the members of the Hong Kong team, after the two teams clashed, and that won everyone’s heart on social media. Netizens tweeted how this can help the Hong Kong players grow as a team in the years to come.

Another special moment was caught on camera when all the players and management staff of the Hong Kong team gifted a team jersey to Virat Kohli. The 33-year-old, who was out of form for some time, scored a half-century against Hong Kong and is now the leading scorer of the tournament.

With signatures from all the players and staff, a message read, “Thank you for inspiring a generation. We stand with you. There are many incredible days ahead. With strength, with love, Team Hong Kong.” Virat thanked this gesture and replied to the players by saying, “Thank you @hkcricket. This gesture is truly humbling and very very sweet.”

Meanwhile, India will play the match first of the super four against either of Hong Kong or Pakistan. The winner of the clash at Sharjah will join India, Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in the next round of the tournament.
