Cricket Buzz: Social media trends on June 25

On the 40th anniversary of India's first World Cup victory, Ravi Shastri posted a snapshot of himself from the 1983 event. Robin Uthappa also recalled the moment of India's fairytale victory in the 1983 World Cup.

"It always seems impossible until it's done!" said Wasim Jaffer of India's World Cup victory in 1983. Rahul Sharma, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh, and Zaheer Khan, among others, recalled India's win in the showpiece event.

Recalling the 1975 National Emergency in India, former cricketer and politician Gautam Gambhir tweeted, "When the constitution was misused to make slaves of people by those who today talk about freedom!" #DarkDaysOfEmergency." Meanwhile, Uthappa wished his former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) teammate Shivam Dube on his 29th birthday.
