The skipper was seen using a spray paint to refurbish the stands at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai along with the authorities. In a video shared by the franchise on their official Twitter account, Dhoni seemed to be enjoying the moment, helping out with the paint job at the venue.

"Definitely looking Yellove," remarked Dhoni after spray painting the seats in yellow.

CSK vying for record-fifth IPL title in 2023

It is worth nothing that that the four-time winners endured a rough season in 2022. The yellow army concluded the edition with four wins out of their 14 outings and stood second last in the standings. Furthermore, the internal turmoil over captaincy including Ravindra Jadeja and the management coupled with poor performances by the players, caused CSK to endure a dismal campaign.

However, the franchise relished a decent time at the auction in December 2022, bagging English all-rounder Ben Stokes for a whopping INR 16.25 crore. Furthermore, Ajinkya Rahane, Shaik Rasheed, and Nishant Sindhu were among others picked in the bidding arena to bolster the squad further.

CSK are known to bounce back in resounding fashion and it will not be a surprise if they come all guns blazing this season. Undoubtedly, the side will be vying to add a historic fifth title to their illustrious cabinet. Notably, CSK will play their first game at home against Lucknow Super Giants on Monday, April 3.
