'How many titles do you have?' - Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard engage in hilarious banter after CSK’s IPL 2023 triumph

Dwayne Bravo took a hilarious dig at his old mate Keiron Pollard after Chennai Super Kings won their fifth IPL title by beating Gujrat Titans by five wickets (DLS method) in IPL 2023. Notably, this was Bravo’s first trophy as a coach while Keron Pollard, the current batting coach of Mumbai Indians, is yet to win one. The two share great camaraderie with each other and thus, Bravo was not shy to remind Pollard that he has more trophies in franchise cricket than Pollard. 

The 39-year-old also pointed out that Chennai Super Kings are the most successful franchise in India at the moment and when asked how, the cricketer replied that the MS Dhoni-led side has two Champions Trophy, while Mumbai have only one. Pollard meanwhile was quick to remind Bravo that he is playing since the early 2000s and because of the same, he has more career trophies.

Notably, the duo has played a lot of cricket for West Indies in the past and has won several trophies for the national team and also in Trinbago Knight Riders colours in the Caribbean Premier League. They got separated last year but are set to reunite in the upcoming edition of the tournament.

Bravo posted a video of a hilarious conversation with Pollard, where the two could be seen pulling each other's leg. "Can someone help me settle this debate. Apparently the LLORD @kieron.pollard55 believes that his team is the most successful IPL team. Let the record show that @chennaiipl is the most successful IPL team. Furthermore, he @kieron.pollard55 wants to talk about trophies. Let the records show AGAIN this is now my 17th title while @kieron.pollard55 you are still on #15. You have some serious catching up to do. Put some respect on my name please. Thank you very much. #sirchampion," Bravo captioned the post.

Pollard - How does it feel to be a five-time champion? I have been having this feeling for the last three years.

Bravo - It’s a great feeling to be a five-time champion. It is also a better feeling to be the most successful IPL franchise team in history.

Pollard - How did you become the most successful IPL franchise?

Bravo - We have won two Champions League titles.

Pollard - Two?

Bravo - Yeah. 

Pollard - Which years are that?

Bravo - I don’t know the years but we have two. Talking about franchise cricket, I have 17 trophies, how much you have?

Pollard - I have not count (sic).

Bravo - 15. Alright? So, I have [titles both] as a coach and as a player. You only have as a? [player].

Pollard - Bravo that's expected. You [are] playing cricket since 2000 with [Curtly] Ambrose and all that.
