Former WWE champion Drew McIntyre believes that India's batting maestro Virat Kohli will surpass Sachin Tendulkar's 49 ODI-centuries record.
While it took Virat Kohli close to three years to score his 71st century, it is interesting to mention that within a span of 37 days, from December 2022 to the beginning to 2023, Kohli has already scored three more centuries to currently raise his overall centuries tally to 74.

Taking to the micro-blogging site Twitter, former WWE champion Drew McIntyre lauded the 34-year-old's brilliant outing against Sri Lanka in the 3rd ODI. Known to be an ardent cricket fan, McIntyre also went on to state that he firmly believes Kohli can surpass Sachin Tendulkar's ODI centuries record.
“Even by his own standard today’s knock was insane. Virat Kohli is a different breed. Surely he’ll go past Tendulkar and reach 50 ODI tons?!,” the tweet read.

This was not the first time that McIntyre has posted about an Indian cricket team player. The former WWE champion, earlier praised Suryakumar Yadav for his brilliant performance in 2022. He even tweeted out his picture and called him a 'six hitting machine'.
In the third ODI, en route to his 166 against Sri Lanka, Kohli smashed several batting records in the 50-over format of the game. Kohli now has 12,754 runs in ODIs and is the fifth-highest run scorer in the format.
He also owns the record for hitting the most no. of centuries (20) while playing at home, after surpassing Sachin Tendulkar in the 3rd ODI. He is the second-highest century-getter in international cricket after Tendulkar, who hit 100 hundreds in his playing career for India.
