Former Indian batter Ambati Rayudu found himself in the midst of controversy after there were circulations of a fake remark that he made about Chennai Super Kings skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad. After CSK lost their recent clash to Lucknow Super Giants, Rayudu was quoted as having criticised Ruturaj Gaikwad for his poor field placements.
Furthermore, it was reported that Navjot Sidhu called for blaming MS Dhoni after CSK conceded the highest successful run-chase in Chennai in the IPL. Seeing the fake remark, Rayudu was quick to take to X (formerly known as Twitter) and called out the publisher for the remark.
“I was not even commentating on that day..I was at my farm picking mangoes..How do you get your news? Or do you fabricate whatever you feel like?” Rayudu tweeted.

Chennai Super Kings struggle to climb standings
Speaking of Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions are in a complex situation in the ongoing season of the IPL. The five-time champions find themselves in fifth place in the standings. They have played eight games in the tournament so far and have managed to register four wins and lose the remaining four.
With eight points in just as many games, CSK is still well in the race for the knockout rounds of the tournament. The side lost their last two games to the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants and losing two games on the trot has put a significant dent in the side’s quest for the playoffs.
LSG overtook CSK after winning back-to-back games and now sits in fourth place in the standings with 10 points in eight games. As for Chennai Super Kings, the defending champions will continue their campaign by taking on in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 46th game of the tournament in Chennai on Sunday, April 28.
