After two back-to-back losses in Nagpur and Delhi, Australia made a thumping return to win the third Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy. In the match, the Steve Smith-led side bowled brilliantly and restricted the Rohit Sharma-led side to only 109 runs in the first innings and bundled them out for 163 runs in the second innings.

With the bat, they showed a lot of character and determination and eventually won the match by nine wickets. Now, since they were in the driver’s seat almost throughout the match, the fans were much more relaxed in the stands.

In a viral video, an Australian fan was spotted celebrating his team’s success by imitating and saying the famous dialogue of Allu Arjun, ‘Jhukega Nahi Saala’ (I won’t bow down). A few Indian fans sitting around too celebrated listening to that.

ICC rates Indore pitch as poor

International Cricket Council (ICC) on Friday rated the Holkar Cricket Stadium as ‘poor’ under the ICC Pitch and Outfield Monitoring Process. It also handed the ground with three demerit points.

In the meantime, a lot of former cricketers including Matthew Hayden Mark Taylor, Krishnamachari Srikkanth and Dilip Vengsarkar have expressed their disappointment with the surface. Former Australia opener Srikkanth out of which has commentated that the ball turning from Day 1, is not a good advertisement for Test cricket. He also reminded everyone that in 2008, they didn’t prepare turning tracks but India managed to win the series comfortably.

“Not a good advertisement for Test cricket at all. They are doing a mistake. Yes, if you see the 2008 series against Australia. The pitches weren't rank turners but India would win the series 2-0. But here, the ball is turning square from Day 1. It's hard to watch the batting on these pitches. It's not a good advertisement for Test cricket," Srikkanth said on his YouTube channel.

Notably, the fourth and final Test match of the series will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
