The ongoing second Test between India and Australia saw a spectacular bit of fielding when KL Rahul snaffled a one-handed stunner to dismiss the well-set Usman Khawaja. The Australian opener was in disbelief after Rahul's acrobatic grab, which handed Ravindra Jadeja his 250th wicket in the longest format of the game.

Australia were in all sorts of trouble after Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith's dismissal in quick succession. Travis Head, who returned to the starting eleven for the Delhi Test, also failed to impress after a low score in the first innings. However, Usman Khawaja, along with Peter Handscomb, steadied the ship for the visitors with a counter-attacking stand for the fifth wicket.

Australia stumble after Khawaja's departure

Khawaja, who was the aggressor in the partnership, deployed the sweep to great effect. But it was the sweep that led to his demise as his reverse sweep off Ravindra Jadeja was spectacularly pounced by KL Rahul. The wicket came against the run of play as the southpaw was looking well set for a brilliant century in testing condition. This was Rahul's second catch of the game as he took another smart catch to dismiss Head earlier in the innings.

The Aussie opener's dismissal for the score of 81 runs, handed Jadeja his 250th Test wicket, who became the fastest Indian to 250 wickets and 2500 runs, and was followed by another wicket in the very next over after Ravichandran Ashwin pulled curtains on Alex Carey's innings for a five-ball duck. Ashwin's scalp was his 100th Test wicket against the Aussies and has now got the second most wicket against the visitors behind the legendary Anil Kumble.
