Team India completed an emphatic chase to level the series against Australia during the second T20I match played at the VCA Stadium on September 23 (Friday). Skipper Rohit Sharma was adjudged player of the match for his excellent 46* run knock.

Meanwhile, Rohit gave a priceless reaction after the wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik finished off the chase during the second T20I encounter. Karthik faced just two deliveries in the match and smashed ten runs, maintaining a strike rate of 500.

Aaron Finch also looked impressed with Karthik's finishing abilities

India needed nine runs from the last over, but Karthik took just two balls to seal the game for his side. After he scored the winning runs for India off Daniel Sams’ bowling in the eighth over of the run chase, Indian skipper Rohit rushed to him and celebrated the victory by giving him a hug, which was followed by a pat on his head. Australian skipper Aaron Finch was seen having a word with Karthik as the duo hugged as well.

After the match, Karthik also spoke about his role as a finisher and said that he has been practicing for a long time for this role. He also praised Rohit's ability to face the pace bowling.

"Look, I have been practicing over a period of time for this, and I have been doing it for RCB and I am happy doing it here. It is a consistent routine over a period of time. When I get off time, I get a lot of scenario practice. Vikram Rathour and Rahul Dravid have also been accommodating of how I want to practice, and what shots I want to practice," Karthik said at the post-match press conference.

"Rohit Sharma played brilliantly. To play such shots against the new ball, against top-class new ball bowlers, is not easy. It shows why Rohit is such a big player in world cricket, not only Indian cricket. His ability to play against fast-bowling is second to none and that is what makes him truly special," he added.
