The 2023 Border-Gavaskar Trophy had plenty of moments throughout the three matches that have been played so far, from the dominance of team India in the first two Tests to the Aussies’ comeback in Indore. But not many incidents were as hilarious as the one in Ahmedabad.

There was a funny incident on the pitch on Day 1 of the fourth Test between India and Australia. During the second session, wicketkeeper batter Ishan Kishan, who is not in the playing XI, came out with water bottles for his teammates.

Following that, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma handed the bottle back to Kishan, who dropped it in a hurry. Rohit then jokingly threatened to hit Kishan for dropping the bottle as the 24-year-old ran back to the dugout.

Australia continue to dominate India on Day 2

After a fabulous batting performance on Day 1 of the fourth test, the Aussies have followed it up as they mean to go on. The visitors managed to score 255 runs after the end of Day 1. Usman Khawaja and Cameron Green continued to dismantle the Indian bowling attack on Day 2 as well.

Khawaja completed 150 runs, and Cameron Green continued to inch towards his century as the woes for the hosts seem to continue. Just losing four wickets, Australia have notched 346 runs on the scoreboard and continues to add to the big total.

Only Mohammed Shami, Ravichandran Ashwin, and Ravindra Jadeja have been able to take wickets. Where Shami struck twice and the spinner duo took a wicket each. The display from the Indian bowling line-up has been sub-par so far, and the spinners will have to come through and quickly take wickets.

Whereas, the Australian batters will be looking to add to the misery of the already struggling team India as the visitors look desperate to tie the series. India need to win the game, as they will win the series and guarantee their spot in the World Test Championship final as well.
