IND vs NZ, 2nd ODI: Best memes from the game

Courtesy of a brilliant bowling display, India bowled out visitors New Zealand for just 108 runs in the second ODI of the series at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur. Later, the team chased the runs under 21 overs to take an unassailable lead of 2-0. 

While the clash was a must-win encounter for the Blackcaps to stay alive in the series, the side was unable to perform and lost nearly half of it for just 15 runs in mere 11 overs of the contest. Glenn Phillips, Michael Bracewell, and Mitchell Santner pushed themselves and did the rescue job but were sent packing by hosts for scores of 36, 22, and 27 runs respectively. 

Incidentally, these were the only double-digit scores for New Zealand as all other batters were dismissed cheaply. Mohammed Shami’s three-wicket haul, coupled with star all-rounder Hardik Pandya and Washington Sundar’s two wickets each, dismissed the rival side for 108 runs in the ODI contest.

In response, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill did not waste much time as the duo hit the ground running straightaway. The skipper registered a score of 51 off 50 before getting dismissed by Henry Shipley. Unlike the previous innings in Hyderabad, Gill carved out a delicate knock and concluded the innings with an unbeaten score of 40 off 53 as the home side wrapped up the second ODI with a win by eight wickets

The Men in Blue will host the visitors one final time in the 50-over format as they lock horns at the Holkar Stadium in Indore where the latter will play for pride.
