Cricket fraternity extends New Year greetings

The cricketing fraternity took to social media to extend their wishes on the occasion of New Year to the fans. The year 2022 was a high-octane action year and brought the cricketing fans on the edge of their seats.

The year witnessed events such as the T20 World Cup, the Asia Cup, the Indian Premier League (IPL), and other domestic leagues around the world. In short, fans were glued to their TV sets as matches came thick and fast with an adrenaline-pumping experience. 

With the dawn of 2023, entertainment will be guaranteed to the fans as massive events are scheduled to take place, most notably the World Test Championship Final, ODI World Cup in India, the Women’s T20 World Cup in South Africa, IPL's 16th edition and the Ashes, to name a few. 

Speaking about the Indian team, they will aim for some results in their favour after being unable to clinch any major trophy in 2022. Meanwhile, in their first assignment of 2023, India will face neighbours Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series followed by as many ODIs.
