The 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 has begun in fabulous fashion for the KL Rahul-led Lucknow Super Giants. Donning new colours, Lucknow find themselves on top of the IPL points table with six points in four matches.
With their latest win coming against the Faf du Plessis-led Royal Challengers Bangalore, which proved to be an all time classic, the star of the game Nicholas Pooran was recently seen sharing a fun moment with all-rounder Krunal Pandya.
In a video posted by Lucknow Super Giants, Pandya can be seen pushing Pooran into the pool. Following that, the latter replied in kind as he took his t-shirt off and threw it right back at the Indian all-rounder.
Nicholas Pooran’s led LSG to fabulous win against RCB
Talking about Lucknow’s previous game, they took on Bangalore at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, and the visitors took quite a beating in the first innings as Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis, and Glenn Maxwell played sensational knocks. The batters scored 61, 79*, and 59 runs, respectively. Through their magnificent batting performance, Bangalore posted 212 runs on the board after 20 overs.
Coming in to bat during the run chase, the top order of Lucknow could not amount to much as Kyle Mayers was dismissed on a duck and skipper KL Rahul only managed to score 18 runs as well. However, it were the brilliant knocks of Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and Ayush Badoni that led Lucknow to a thrilling win.
Pooran played a fabulous knock, scoring the fastest half-century of the 2023 tournament so far. The 27-year-old scored 62 runs in just 19 deliveries and his knock was integral in Lucknow's thrilling win.
