The Indian Premier League will continue to enthral the fans as they will get to see two exciting clashes on Saturday, April 15. The first game of the day will be between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Ahead of the fixture, Delhi Capitals once again had the presence of Rishabh Pant in their dugout to raise the spirits of the team who’ve lost four games on the trot.
The wicket-keeper batter had earlier attended the second fixture of Delhi against Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitely Stadium. The 25-year-old was once again spotted at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday, April 14 as he attended the practice session of DC ahead of their match against RCB.
The official handles of the Indian Premier League shared the photographs of Pant talking to his teammates and captioned the post, “Look who made a visit to the @DelhiCapitals training here in Bengaluru 😃Hello there @RishabhPant17👋.”
Pant has been ruled out of the ongoing season after he survived a horrific car crash in December 2022. The India cricketer was travelling from Delhi to his hometown Roorkee, Uttarakhand when his car hit a divider and rolled over and caught fire. Pant miraculously managed to escape the burning vehicle with the help of some locals.
Delhi will look to get the first points on the board against RCB
Coming back to Delhi’s campaign so far, they’ve lost four matches on the trot and were handed comprehensive defeats in their first three fixtures. Their bowlers managed to put up a good fight in their last game against Mumbai Indians as MI could only manage to chase down the target on the last ball of the match.
Delhi’s batting has failed big time as no other batter other than the captain David Warner has been among the runs. Even Warner has been criticized for his low strike rate in the season so far. Other than Warner, Axar Patel has also looked in fine touch having scored 108 runs in four innings. Their bowling has been completely off colour with Mukesh Kumar being the highest wicket-taker with four wickets to his name.
The David Warner-led side will look to put up an improved performance against RCB, who’ve lost their previous two fixtures and finally get two valuable points against their name on the points table.
