IPL 2024: Top 10 Memes from DC vs SRH, Match 35

Sunrisers Hyderabad took on Delhi Capitals in Match 35 of the Indian Premier League 2024 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday, April 20. DC won the toss and opted to bowl first. Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma provided SRH with the dream start. They amassed the highest-ever powerplay score in IPL as they fetched 125 runs. Head departed after scoring a blistering 89 off 32 and Abhishek walked back after a marauding 46 off 12. 

Hyderabad lost control in the middle overs and Aiden Markram and Heinrich Klaasen were sent back for one and 15 respectively. Nitish Reddy and Shahbaz Ahmed stitched a less appealing partnership compared to Head and Abhishek, but saved SRH from early fall. While Reddy scored  37 off 27, Shahbaz remained unbeaten on 59 off 29. SRH posted a humongous 266 runs on board.

DC succumb to SRH’s crisp bowling at death

Chasing the highest total at Arun Jaitley Stadium, Prithvi Shaw provided an ideal start for DC scoring four consecutive boundaries. But the batter fell on the subsequent delivery and David Warner followed suit scoring one run. Jake Fraser-McGurk made a statement with his 65 off 18 and Abhishek Porel ended his dry run with a 42-run knock. No other batter pitched in for DC and they struggled big time. Rishabh Pant’s slow knock of 44 off 35 did not help either as SRH won the game by 67 runs.
