IPL 2026 Memes: Hilarious Reactions from GT vs KKR, Match 25 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

All that was positive for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) was the return to form for Cameron Green, as the franchise lost to Gujarat Titans (GT) in Match No. 25 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, on Friday, April 17.

The game started with the visitors batting first on a slow and tricky track at Motera, as skipper Ajinkya Rahane departed for a golden duck in the first over itself. Soon after, Angkrish Raghuvanshi too made his way back to the huddle. A few deliveries later, KKR debutant Tim Seifert also got out for 19 off a Kagiso Rabada delivery. The South African pacer took three wickets in his four overs, giving away 29 runs.

Ashok Sharma and Mohammed Siraj also took a couple of wickets apiece, while Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna also walked off after one scalp each. Green was the lone warrior for KKR, contributing with a brilliant 79 off 55 balls, with one of the four sixes hit by the Australian all-rounder also hitting the sponsored car beyond the boundary ropes. KKR were bundled out for 180 after exactly 20 overs.

When it came to the run chase, the GT openers added 57 runs for the opening wicket before Sai Sudharsan departed in the last over of the powerplay. Jos Buttler (25 off 15) made his way back after wasting a brilliant start, being undone by Varun Chakravarthy. However, skipper Shubman Gill carried the team on his shoulders and played a captain's knock that included eight boundaries and four maximums.

Gill looked fine for yet another century, but a sensational stunner by Green at deep third man ended his stay, which also handed Vaibhav Arora his first and only wicket of the night. Thereon, Glenn Phillips (19 off 16) and Rahul Tewatia did the rest of the job, as GT won the match by five wickets and a ball to spare for their third victory of the season.
