'Isko hatao' - Hilarious conversation between Dhruv Jurel and Yashasvi Jaiswal ahead of Rajkot Test grabs attention

In anticipation of an international debut, young wicketkeeper-batter Dhruv Jurel engaged in some light-hearted banter with his teammate and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal. The camaraderie between the two players was evident as they shared a fun moment ahead of the third Test between India and England.

In a video shared by the BCCI, Jurel found himself struggling to answer some introductory questions, prompting Jaiswal to tease him playfully. Jurel responded with a witty remark, saying, "Isko hatao" (Take him out of here).

Despite the initial jest, Jurel shared insights into his interests, including his hobby of cooking. Yashasvi Jaiswal questioned Jurel as to how he was able to pick his seat on the team bus. He asked, “How did you find your place in the team bus because I have still not figured out where to sit."

Jurel opened up about the nervousness and made a strategy about finding a seat on the team bus, the 23-year-old answered, “I was just nervous after hearing of my selection in the Indian team. And then I was worried about where I should be sitting in the team bus. Because if I take a seat and someone else arrives and tells me (to get up) that this is my seat.”

“I was nervous. I came up with this strategy that, say hypothetically if the team bus leaves around 8 pm, I will arrive at 7:59 pm after everybody else is settled so I can find my place easily,” he added.

The cricketer has honed his skills through India's Under19 system and has showcased promising performances in his 15 first-class matches. With KS Bharat handling the wicketkeeping duties in the first two Tests against England, reports are suggesting that the team management is considering giving Jurel a chance in the upcoming Test. 

Reflecting on the possibility of his debut, Jurel expressed his gratitude towards his father, Nem Singh Jurel, for his unwavering support throughout his cricketing journey. He mentioned that if he gets his debut cap, he would dedicate the moment to his father, who has been his guiding light and inspiration.

“If I will get my Indian cap, will dedicate it to my father because he’s my father. If I cannot figure out something, I just speak to him. He guides me and has always been my hero,” the young cricketer said.
