On June 27, South Africa defeated Afghanistan by nine wickets to qualify for the finals of the T20 World Cup 2024. This led to some notable trends on the social media. A lot of former cricketers including Dale Steyn, AB de Villiers, and Anil Kumble among many others congratulated them while Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan pointed out the positives after the loss.
