Rishabh Pant, India’s hero at the Gabba, hurt himself in a car accident in December 2022 and hasn’t been able to play cricket ever since. However, he has been a great supporter of his teams, as the Southpaw previously came to the stadium to support Delhi Capitals in the recently concluded Indian Premier League. In the latest tale of unwavering support for Indian cricket, Pant sent a heartwarming message to team India, as the Rohit Sharma-led side is chasing 444 runs at The Oval in the ongoing World Test Championship final against Australia.

Notably, Bharat Army, one of India’s popular fan groups, shared a video on Saturday, June 10, in which the fans stated how much they will miss Pant on Day 5 of the historic Test. Notably, he has done something similar in the past and thus, fans miss him a lot, especially in red-ball cricket. Meanwhile, motivating team India ahead of the big day, Pant sent a heartwarming message, asking everyone to keep believing in order to get the job done.

“Keep believing, let’s do it team India,” Pant wrote on his Twitter account.

Kohli, Jadeja return back to the pavilion in the ongoing WTC 2023 Final

There was some sense of optimism in the air before the start of the day’s play but with Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja walking back to the pavilion in quick succession, the tension have risen. Despite a good start, Kohli failed to make it big as the former skipper got out on 49 while the Southpaw failed to open his tally. Ajinkya Rahane meanwhile has looked solid with the bat so far and will have to play a big role in helping India get over the line in the summit clash.

On the other hand, KS Bharat, who has faced a lot of criticism for his batting in the recent past can prove to be India’s new messiah with the bat. He has started well but there’s still a lot to achieve at the moment. However, if the duo pulls something off in India’s favour on Sunday, it can very well go down as one of the greatest partnerships in the history of Test cricket.
