Kolkata Knight Riders were absolutely emphatic on the night of IPL 2024 Finals, as the franchise lifted the prestigious title in a convincing win against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The entire KKR management were seen overjoyed and filled with emotions, which reflected what winning the championship meant to them. Under Shreyas Iyer's captaincy, KKR finally won their third title after winning the first two under the then skipper Gautam Gambhir in 2012 and 2014.

Although the captaincies might have changed, one thing that has remained constant for the Knight Riders is their co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, who was uplifted with emotions at the MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai - the venue for the summit clash on Sunday, May 26. SRK's entire family was present to witness the game live, and his children AbRam and Suhana were seen crying from the stands.

In a heartfelt gesture, Shah Rukh hugged the daughter and the youngest son, while Aryan the elder brother also appeared to be pleased with the franchise's triumph. The video of the Khan trio hugging each other went viral on social media, and received lovely comments from the netizens.

Speaking of the final showdown, the affair between Knight Riders and Sunrisers was a one-sided one. KKR never let the opposition settle, as SRH had their lowest total of the season, contrary to what was actually required. Andre Russell (3/19), Mitchell Starc (2/14), and Harshit Rana (2/24) bowled brilliantly to pick crucial wickets, while the spin partners Varun Chakravarthy and Sunil Narine also kept their economies in check, eventually bundling the opposition out for a mere 113 in 18.3 overs.

With a not-so-daunting target ahead of them, the openers didn't hesitate to open their arms freely from the very first over, however, Sunil Narine departed on the second ball after opening his account with a maximum. However, Venkatesh Iyer (52 off 26) stitched a solid 91-run partnership, ensuring no hiccups during the chase. The southpaw also hit the winning runs, and helped the side lift their third trophy and the first in ten years.
