In the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC), India Capitals’ skipper Gautam Gambhir got involved in a heated argument with pacer Sreesanth. The umpires were spotted getting in the middle of it as one of them dragged the pacer out of the spot. He tried to talk to Gambhir but his teammates took him to the other side.

The details of the conversation are yet to be known. Both these cricketers were part of India’s triumph in the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup and have played a lot of games together and have also done commentary together in recent times.

India Capitals defeat Gujarat Giants the Eliminator

Gautam Gambhir gave a perfect start with the bat as the southpaw hit 51 runs in 30 deliveries. He set the tone of the match as India Capitals ended up posting 223 runs on board in the first innings. Ben Dunk (30 runs off 10 deliveries) and Bharath Chipli (35 runs off 16 deliveries) were sensational with the bat as Capitals finished on a strong note. Sreesanth meanwhile proved to be costly as the pacer conceded 35 runs in three overs and picked up the wicket of Rusty Theron.

When it came to the chase, Chris Gayle gave a blistering start to the home team. The southpaw hit 84 runs off 55 deliveries, which set the platform for Gujarat. Later on, Kevin O'Brien hit 57 runs off 33 deliveries but no one in the middle order or lower middle order supported him as Gujarat lost the match by 12 runs. Theron, Ishwar Pandey, and Isuru Udana were incredible with the ball as the Capitals moved to Qualifier 2, where they will face Manipal Tigers.

The Harbhajan Singh-led side defeated India Capitals earlier in the season but a knockout game is a different ball game. However, it remains to be seen if Gambhir is handed a punishment for his heated spat with Sreesanth. If it happens, the Capitals might miss their skipper in a crucial match.
