The match between Town Club versus Mohammedan Sporting Club in Kolkata’s First Division Group A league has garnered attention of the cricketing fraternity after a shocking video went viral on social media. In the video, it was spotted that the Mohammedan batters were deliberately leaving the balls, leading to their dismissals.

Notably, batting first, Town Club have posted 446 runs on the board. When Mohammedan came out to bat, the match-fixing evidence came forward as opener Sambit Roy got stumped against Sandip Tomar when he was batting on 20. Sambit didn’t make any attempt to make his way back to the crease, which raises speculations about his intent on the pitch.

Adding more documentation to the incident, Sportz Point revealed that the skipper Deep Chatterjee too might be involved in the matter. Chatterjee shockingly decided to leave Tomar's delivery, which was close to the stumps, as it eventually rattled his wicket. Soon after that, Nitin Verma’s horrific decision presents more evidence on the matter.

Against spinner Sudip Kumar Yadav, Varma decided to leave the first ball, which nearly cost him his wicket. After that, he went to have a word with his teammate on the non-striker’s end. Soon, the batter didn't attempt any shot on two back-to-back bowls which were close to the stumps but didn’t hit the wicket. Following which, he once again goes on to have a word with his partner on the non-striker's end. What followed next, shocked the cricketing fraternity.

He danced down the track to smack the delivery but wasn’t anywhere close to hitting the ball. The wicketkeeper collected the ball pretty comfortably and stumped him out at 22 Yards School Ground.
