Mayank Yadav, Lucknow Super Giants' (LSG) pace sensation, has won hearts both on and off the field. In a recent display of his affable nature, Yadav delighted fans by taking selfies with them following LSG's clash against Gujarat Titans at the Ekana Sports City, Lucknow, on April 7.
Hailing from Delhi, the cricketer garnered significant attention after clinching back-to-back Player of the Match awards in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL 2024). He showcased his bowling prowess in the clash against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, where he claimed 3/14 followed by a stellar three-wicket haul in his IPL debut match against Punjab Kings. With this unique feat, he became the first-ever player to achieve consecutive POTM awards in his first two games in the IPL.
In a video shared by LSG on their official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Yadav was spotted engaging with their coaching staff. Meanwhile, fans eagerly called out to him, prompting the youngster to approach the stands with a warm smile and take a photo with them using one of their phones. This simple yet meaningful gesture emphasises his profound gratitude for the unwavering support of his admirers.
"Superstar Mayank, ek photo humare saath bhi le lo please," LSG captioned the post.

Yadav's workload to be managed as he recovers from abdominal soreness
In LSG's third game against Gujarat Titans, Mayank Yadav bowled just one over before being taken off due to what was initially suspected to be a side strain. However, Vinod Bisht, the CEO of the franchise, later confirmed it as discomfort in the lower abdominal area. According to him, Yadav's workload would be carefully managed in the upcoming week as a precautionary measure.
