Pakistan may have failed to qualify for the semi-finals of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023, however, some of their renowned cricket experts managed to grab headlines due to their bizarre statements during the tournament. Throughout the tournament, claims such as special balls being provided by ICC to Indian bowlers which helps them to swing it more or changing of the pitch which aids them to bundle out opposition have emerged from Pakistan.

Recently, former Pakistan cricketer turned commentator Ramiz Raja also made another bizarre claim that legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo’s diet is planned by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) scientists. The video has gone viral all over social media with Raja being subjected to heavy trolling.

Following Babar’s resignation, Shan Masood has been named the new Test captain while fast bowler Shaheen Afridi has been given the duties of T20I captaincy. However, the PCB is yet to reveal the new captain of the Pakistan ODI team.

The PCB has also made several changes to their management as former fast bowler Wahab Riaz has been appointed as the Chief Selector after the resignation of Inzamam ul Haq midway through the World Cup. Furthermore, former Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has been appointed as the Team Director of Pakistan Men’s Cricket Team.

Apart from that, there have been changes in the coaching roles as well with the appointment of cricketers Umar Gul and Saeed Ajmal as the bowling coaches of the Pakistan men’s side team. Gul has been appointed as the fast bowling coach, whereas Ajmal will be the spin bowling coach for the side.

Meanwhile, after making several changes to their management, Pakistan will hope to put up a strong performance in the upcoming three-match Test series against Australia starting from December 14.
