In a highly anticipated match at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Pakistan and New Zealand faced off in the 35th match of the ongoing ODI World Cup. Pakistan won the toss and elected to field first, hoping to take advantage of the conditions.

Battin first, New Zealand posted an imposing total of 401/6, largely driven by a magnificent partnership between Rachin Ravindra (108) and Kane Williamson (95). Despite falling short of a century, Williamson's return to the side after injury proved significant, while Ravindra notched up his third ODI century in the tournament.

Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, and Mitchel Santner all played quick cameos towards the end to help the Kiwis cross the 400-run mark. For Pakistan, Mohammad Wasim Junior was the standout performer with the ball as he took three wickets.

Chasing the target of 402, Pakistan lost Abdullah Shafique early in the innings. However, Fakhar Zaman stunned the Kiwis with a stunning century off just 63 balls. His aggressive batting, accompanied by Babar Azam's solid performance, set the stage for a brilliant run chase.

In the 22nd over, rain forced a temporary halt in the game. When play resumed, Pakistan had a revised target of 342 in 41 overs according to the DLS method. At that point, they were ten runs ahead of the DLS par score, putting them in a strong position.

Unfortunately, rain once again interrupted the match in the 26th over, with Pakistan at 200/1. This time, the play could not resume, and Pakistan were declared the winner by 21 runs through the DLS method.
