Rishabh Pant engaged in a hilarious banter with his close friend, Kuldeep Yadav, during Day 4 of the Duleep Trophy 2024 clash between India A and India B. While Pant was playing for India B, Kuldeep was representing India A in the riveting encounter held at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru this week.

On Sunday, September 8, India A were in all sorts of problems, having lost seven wickets for 141 runs, chasing a challenging target of 275 on a spicy deck. Kuldeep and Akash Deep were battling out against the disciplined India B bowlers. With the score at 152/7 at the end of the 43rd over, skipper Abhimanyu Easwaran handed the ball to part-timer Musheer Khan. Kuldeep flicked the fourth ball of the over but couldn't find the gap. It was the fourth consecutive dot ball in the over.

Pant, who was keeping wickets, asked his fielders to allow Kuldeep to take a single as he had a great plan to dismiss the left-arm wrist spinner in the following over. The wicketkeeper-batter reminded Kuldeep that a pacer is operating from the other end. Kuldeep looked back at Pant jokingly asked him to calm down. Interestingly, the Delhi cricketer asked the former to give his wicket away.

Here's what was said during the hilarious conversation:

"Rishabh - isko single lene de , bhaut tagda plan banaya hai

Kuldeep - thik h yaar , kyu pareshaan ho rha

Rishabh - Toh phir out ho jaa na"

India B eventually won the match by 76 runs as India A were bowled out for 198. Musheer Khan fittingly won the Player of the Match award after scoring a crucial 181 in the first innings. Kuldeep didn't have the best of games as he picked up a solitary wicket from the two innings and conceded runs at an economy rate of 4.5.

However, Pant had a great outing behind the stumps as he took seven catches and scored an enterprising half-century in the second innings.
