It now remains to be seen whether the Bengal pacer gets selected in the playing XI during the three-match series. Mukesh got an India call-up just days after his four wickets in the first innings bundled out Saurashtra for a paltry 98. Kumar, who will be turning 29 later this month was also impressive against New Zealand A where he finished with nine wickets from three matches.
The promising pacer had finished as Bengal's joint-highest wicket-taker in the 2021/22 edition of the Ranji Trophy with 20 scalps to his name in nine innings.
