Mayank Yadav has announced himself on the global stage with resounding performances. His latest exploits against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have pushed his case further with the national selectors. Mayank has been bowling consistently at a pace of 150+. His pace as well as good line and length have rewarded him with six wickets in just two games.

The 21-year-old dominated the headlines when he clicked 156.7 kph against RCB in Bengaluru. Notably, it was the fastest delivery of Indian Premier League 2024 so far. He claimed three wickets for just 14 runs against Bengaluru. His onslaught broke the backbone of RCB resulting in Lucknow Super Giants' victory. Now, he has revealed that the high-on-energy Bengaluru crowd appreciated his performance when he was at the boundary line.

“I'm feeling very good. I heard RCB have a big fan base, and a loyal fan base, but after my spell, when I went to the boundary, everyone was cheering for me a lot. So, that was one thing that I liked a lot. Everyone was supporting me,” he said in a video uploaded by LSG on Instagram.

With just two matches old in the IPL, Mayank Yadav has already garnered many fans due to his quick deliveries. He has been a miser when it comes to conceding runs. Having bowled eight overs so far, the Delhi bowler has conceded just 41 runs. His economy rate reads an impressive 5.12. Talking about the average, the right arm pacer has stroked an eye-catching 6.83. However, he has admitted that the end goal is to play for the country at the biggest level.

"Feel really good, two Player of the Match awards in two matches. I am happier that we won both the matches. My goal is to play for the country. I feel this is just the start. I enjoyed Cameron Green's wicket the most,” Yadav concluded.
