Is there anything Shafali Verma can't do? The Delhi Capitals opener grabbed a stunning catch to bring an end to Sophie Devine's stay at the crease in the second innings of the match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore. The 19-year-old moved swiftly to snaffle the ball inches off the ground to provide a much-needed breakthrough for her team after a rollicking start to the chase by Smriti Mandhana's side.

Chasing a mammoth target of 224 runs, the Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a flyer after Smriti Mandhana took 14 runs off Marizanne Kapp's first over of the match. Her senior opening partner Sophie Devine joined the party, smashing Shikha Pandey for three boundaries in the very next over.

However, Meg Lannings's decision to bring young English bowling sensation Alice Capsey into the bowling attack turned out to be a masterstroke as she dismissed Devine on her very second delivery of the tournament. But it was all about the catch from Shafali Verma, who grabbed a stunner at mid-off to end Devine's innings.

Capsey's outing got even better in her second over after she got rid of the dangerous Mandhana to peg back the Bangalore-based outfit. The young English bowler, quite understandably, was overjoyed after getting rid of both the openers as Delhi clawed their way back into the innings after a brisk start by their opponents.

Earlier in the match, the Indian batting sensation compiled a sensational batting innings, smashing 84 runs off just 45 deliveries, in a mammoth opening stand with skipper Meg Lanning. Her explosive innings, coupled with two brisk cameos from Marizanne Kapp and Jemimah Rodrigues, propelled the Delhi Capitals to a daunting total of 223 runs in the second match of the ongoing tournament.
