Mumbai Indians (MI) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) locked horns at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, May 10. MI skipper Rohit Sharma was dismissed for just seven runs in the second innings when RCB spinner Wanindu Hasaranga trapped him LBW. Notably, it was initially given not-out by the umpire but DRS confirmed that the ball was knocking the stump.
However, many cricketers were left baffled by the DRS call following the dismissal of the MI skipper. Former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif was one among them who questioned Rohit's dismissal.
Mohammad Kaif took to Twitter and shared an image from the match and wrote, "Hello DRS, yeh thoda jyada nahi ho gaya? How can this be lbw?" Now, former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has questioned the DRS decision against Rohit. To Kaif's post, Yuvraj commented "Ridiculous."

Jason Behrendorff backs Rohit amid lean patch in IPL 2023
Individually, Rohit Sharma has had a forgettable season so far in the ongoing IPL. Since the start of the season, the India skipper has struggled with the bat, scoring only 191 runs from 11 matches at an average of 17.36 and a strike rate of 124.84. Furthermore, he has only accumulated single-digit scores in MI's last five matches, including two ducks.
Following Mumbai's win over RCB, pacer Jason Behrendorff reflected on Rohit's lean patch and backed him to regain form quickly. He stated that the MI skipper has been hitting the ball quite well in the nets, but that it is not translating properly at the moment. He went on to say that everyone knows how excellent Rohit is, calling him a class player.
"I love the intent Rohit came out with; he sort of stepped down the wicket and took the bowlers on, which was really good to see. He is hitting the ball really well in the nets, but it has not translated well at the moment out in the middle. But, we know how good Rohit is; he is an absolute class player, and he might just need a couple of good shots to bounce back to really good form," the Australian said in the post-match press conference.
