The 25-year-old was recently spotted at the holy shrine of Badrinath in Uttarakhand. The Haridwar-born cricketer has been going through rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru and was even spotted batting a few weeks back. Pant has been a big miss for India this year as he missed out on important tournaments such as ICC World Test Championship final 2023 and the World Cup 2023.
He last played for India vs Bangladesh in December 2022 where he scored 148 runs from three innings at an average of 49.33 and a strike rate of 91.35 with one fifty to his name.
Following the end of the series, he decided to go back to his hometown Roorkee to celebrate New Year with his family. However, on the way, he met with a horrific car accident after he dozed off while sleeping. His car even caught fire and he managed to escape with the help of some locals.
