Star Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant was recently captured visiting Delhi Capitals’ camp. The franchise organized a camp at the Jadavpur University ground in Kolkata. In the clip of the moment, Pant was seen having a chat with the players and staff there.
In the video, Pant was also seen walking freely without the use of crutches which could prove to be good news for the Indian fans. In December 2022, Pant was part of a car accident that saw him getting out of contention for selection for the entirety of the year. In his absence, the 26-year-old missed out on many major tournaments, like the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Asia Cup 2023, and the ongoing ODI World Cup in India as well.

There is still no clarity on the star batter’s return to team India. However, watching him walk freely, and without crutches would surely instill some confidence in the hearts of the Indian fans. Pant seems to be giving his all on his road to full recovery. It was only a few days back when the wicketkeeper-batter was seen making use of the anti-gravity treadmill developed by NASA to ante up his strength.
Furthermore, in a big boost to his progress, Pant has also started batting in the nets. He competed in a cricket match at the NCA in Bangalore in August 2023. However, with his accelerated progress, there have been several reports that the BCCI is looking to stay cautious regarding his return to the pitch, and he will only be made available for selection when he is fully ready.
