The MI Cape Town batter, Dewald Brevis, played the ‘No-Look Six’ during a match against Joburg Super Kings in the ongoing SA20 league. Made to bat first by the hosts at the Newlands, Joburg were bundled out for a paltry total of 105 runs in under 18 overs of the contest.

In response, openers Brevis and Ryan Rickelton, stitched a 65-run partnership before the latter got dismissed by Gerald Coetzee. In the midst of the innings, young Brevis, who is known to play quite a few unorthodox shots, dispatched one off Aaron Phangiso’s delivery with his ‘No-Look Six’.

In the first ball of the 8th over, the 19-year-old smashed Phangiso for a maximum, without even looking at the ball, and stood firm with his classy shot selection as he got down on one knee while playing it.

MI Cape Town make steady start in the league

Cape Town has decently started off its campaign in the newly-formed SA20 league. Having won their first contest against Paarl Royals, the side lost to Durban’s Super Giants in their next match but bounced back with a dominating win against Joburg in their most recent contest by 7 wickets.

The team plays Sunrisers Eastern Cape in their next outing on January 18 at the St George's Park Cricket Ground in Gqeberha. Speaking about Sunrisers, the team has lost both its opening fixtures and will be on the lookout to register their first win in the league in the inaugural edition.

While Cape Town has been playing exciting cricket in the league thus far, Sunrisers on the other hand has not been at their very best. Furthermore, the Gqeberha-based franchise has a net run rate of -1.500. Therefore, they will also need to up the ante and win big, if they want to climb up the table. It remains to be seen if the side will finally be able to obtain a result in their favour in the forthcoming clash.
