Sam Curran shares 'shocking' experience with Virgin Atlantic airline

England international Sam Curran on Wednesday, January 4, called out the Virgin Atlantic airline for their poor service. The 24-year-old on his Twitter account revealed that the British airline didn’t allow him to board the flight as they stated that his seat is broken. 

Frustrated by the situation, Curran labelled the incident to be ‘shocking and embarrassing’. Later, the airline company replied to the all-rounder and mentioned that they can arrange an alternate flight for him. Curran nevertheless posted another picture calling the airline out.

“Just turned up for a flight with @VirginAtlantic for them to tell me my seat is broken on the flight, therefore they’ve said I can’t travel on it. Absolutely crazy. Thanks @VirginAtlantic. Shocking and embarrassing,” Curran Tweeted.

On the professional front, Curran, who won the Player of the Tournament award in the T20 World Cup 2022, will be playing for Punjab Kings in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League. The cricketer fetched a whopping INR 18.5 crore and became the most expensive player in the history of the tournament.

After signing for PBKS, Curran revealed that he is very excited to join the franchise and is overwhelmed with the amount of money he will receive by playing in the cash-rich league.

“I didn't sleep much last night, was a bit excited, also nervous about how the auction was going to go. But yeah, absolutely overwhelmed and incredibly humbled that I managed to get what I did. I never had any expectations to receive that," Curran had said on Star Sports show 'Cricket Live - Auction Special'.
