Indian pace bowler Mohammed Shami who has been tearing the World Cup apart with his sensational bowling has clapped back at Pakistan journalists who had claimed that India was cheating in the ODI World Cup 2023.

In his latest Instagram story, Shami wrote, "Feel shame, and focus on the game. Enjoy other's success. This is an ICC event not some local tournament. Even your own former player Wasim bhai (Wasim Akram) had explained it to you. Atleast have trust in your own player Wasim Akram. You have been busy with applauding yourself. Just like a wow."

India leading the points table

Men in Blue have steamrolled every other team so far to reach the top of the table. The Rohit Sharma-led side have won all of their matches so far and become the first team to qualify for the semi-final stage.

Mohammed Shami has played a huge role in India's successful run to the semi-final. In just 4 matches Shami has taken 16 wickets. In addition to Shami's incredible run of form, Team India has also been blessed with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli bringing their A-game to the tournament. Kohli has garnered 543 runs in 8 matches whereas Rohit Sharma has 442 in 8 to his name. Both the batters have risen to the occasion and made sure India charges towards their goal of first ICC trophy in 13  years with success.

India are to play their final group-stage match on November 12th when they take on the Netherlands. Kohli and millions of fans across the globe would be hoping for Kohli's 50th ODI century that would break Sachin Tendulkar's record for most centuries in 50 over game.

Apart from India, South Africa have also qualified for the semi-finals on the back of a brilliant campaign so far. The Temba Bavuma-led side however were humbled by India when the two teams clashed in the 37th match of the tournament. India defeated the African team by a massive 243 runs earlier.
