‘Tea Time: 50 Not out!’ - Sachin Tendulkar enjoys cup of tea on his 50th birthday

Sachin Tendulkar is widely regarded as one of the greatest batters in the history of cricket. With 15921 runs in 200 Test matches and 18426 runs in 463 ODI matches, Tendulkar had well earned the fame and recognition that he got from players all across the globe.

The Master Blaster celebrated his 50th birthday on Monday, April 24, and as wishes poured in from many revered cricketers of both present and past, Tendulkar took to his Instagram to post a picture on his handle to commemorate his special day.

"Tea time: 50 Not Out!" he captioned the post.

In the photo, the former Indian batter can be seen enjoying a cup of tea in a peaceful location. The legendary batter retired from international cricket back in 2013 and represented India for over 24 years. Tendulkar won numerous accolades throughout the course of his career, which helped him gain international recognition and become one of the most highly acclaimed batters in cricket history.

Wishes flood in as Tendulkar turns 50

As Sachin Tendulkar turned 50 years old today, the cricket fraternity came forward to wish the Master Blaster on his special day. Stars like Ajinkya Rahane, Virender Sehwag, Suryakumar Yadav, and many more took to their social media handles and posted a message for Tendulkar. 

Furthermore, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and many franchises from the Indian Premier League (IPL), like Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Sunrisers Hyderabad, also took to Twitter to wish Sachin a happy birthday. Recently, the legendary Indian batter also celebrated 25 years of his iconic ‘Desert Storm’ knock.

In an event held in Mumbai, Sachin Tendulkar celebrated the 25th anniversary of the magnificent innings, where he scored a whopping 143 runs in 131 deliveries against Australia in Sharjah, back in 1998. He cut a cake and interacted with his fans at the event.
