As a surge of congratulatory praise flowed in with a majority of the cricketing fraternity commending Bangladesh for securing their first-ever Test series victory on Pakistani soil, making it their third such victory away from home in the format overall, a few pundits which included renowned cricket commentator and analyst, Harsha Bhogle, were prompt in slamming the hosts for their meak performance. What made the situation more critical was the fact that the whitewash extended Pakistan's winless streak to 10 Tests at home.
In a candid tweet, moments after Pakistan had lost the second game at Rawalpindi, Harsha expressed his thoughts on the state of the Pakistan team as well as a trivia about them which he claimed to have pointed out sometime in the past.
I remember saying some time ago that the shorter the game, the more dangerous Pakistan would be, and, almost as consequence, that the longer the game, the more vulnerable they would be. But I didn't expect it to be this stark. Well as Bangladesh played, this is embarrassing for…

The tweet's tone seemed a no-nonsense one as Harsha touched on the fact that even though he had predicted the current Pakistani unit to struggle in the longer-format of the game as compared to the shorter versions of it, he never expected such a pronounced contrast between their playing style and the eventual outcome of his prediction.
The conclusion of his tweet read the series loss to be "embarrasing" for Pakistan, something which former Pakistani top-order batter, Ahmed Shehzad, had mentioned in his reaction video which he posted yesterday, among the various other observations he made spanning across both the teams in the clip.
It will be interesting to see the adjustments Pakistan make to their side as well as their existent strategies during England's visit to the nation for a three-match Test series in October.
