Bollywood icon Kareena Kapoor Khan, boxing champion MC Mary Kom, designer Masaba Gupta, entrepreneur Vineeta Singh, and acclaimed journalist Faye D'Souza have united to promote the ongoing Women’s Premier League (WPL). They have encouraged participation in the grandest ladies' night event on Sunday, March 3, when Delhi Capitals hosts Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Collaborating with the renowned sports brand PUMA, they underscored the inclusive nature of cricket, stating it as a game for all. Their message, conveyed through an Instagram video, aims to amplify the WPL and its significance, highlighting the diverse talents and empowerment opportunities it offers to women across the world.

“Only 18% of the women who watch men’s cricket, watch our women play. Ladies, weṇ need you to come together and change these numbers. It’s time to celebrate our girls like never before. Join us for the biggest ladies’ night ever on Sunday, 10th March at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as the Delhi Capitals take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Let’s make it a night to remember. #CricketIsEveryonesGame," the post read.

WPL 2024 unveils captivating cricketing action

The second edition of WPL kicked off on February 23 with an electrifying clash between the Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. In a thrilling showdown, Mumbai, the reigning champions, showcased their unparalleled prowess, securing victory by four wickets. The match set the stage for an exhilarating season ahead, filled with intense competition, remarkable displays of skill, and unforgettable moments.

The Bangalore-based franchise, on the other hand, will play their third game against Delhi Capitals on February 29.
