Senior Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar has had a good run in white-ball cricket. However, due to his persistent injuries, he couldn't play much Test cricket. Now, former Australian white-ball captain Aaron Finch has revealed how Bhuvneshwar bothered him during his playing career.

In international cricket, Bhuvneshwar dismissed Finch seven times, including four times in one-day internationals (ODIs). Surprisingly, all four dismissals occurred in a row during a series in 2019.

During a Q&A session on 'X', the Aussie was questioned about his difficulties against the veteran Indian pacer. “Big fan here, why did bhuvi troubled you a bit.. Could you elaborate? Is it your feet coming across??” a fan asked Finch.

To which he replied, “Yep!! Tried for 15 years to stop that happening."

Finch called time on his international career earlier in 2023. However, he announced his ODI retirement back in 2022 and continued to captain Australia in the last year’s ICC T20 World Cup later at home. The right-hander holds the record for two of the three best individual T20I scores, with his 172 against Zimbabwe in July 2018 breaking his previous mark of 156 against England in 2013. H featured in the inaugural edition of the Major League Cricket, captaining the San Francisco Unicorns.

Bhuvneshwar, on the other hand, is unlikely to get a chance to play for team India, having last played for the team in a T20I against New Zealand in November 2022. The 33-year-old did, however, play for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and even captained the team in a few games in the absence of regular skipper Aiden Markram.

Recently, he sparked concern about his future with Team India after removing and making a minor change to his Instagram bio. He left off the word 'cricketer' from his description which was previously 'Indian cricketer.’
