There have been many instances where cricketers have been linked with Bollywood actresses, for some or other reasons. Currently, famed actress Urvashi Rautela has grabbed the spotlight and made the headlines for not just her comments on Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, but also on Pakistani pace-sensation Naseem Shah.

The Rishabh Pant-Urvashi Rautela story keeps taking a new turn every now and then. The actress was in the headlines recently after her video went viral, where the viewers thought she had dropped an apology for Pant. After learning about the same, Rautela clarified that her ‘sorry’ was not meant for Rishabh Pant, it was instead for the fans because she did not have an answer to the question.

In a video shared by Instant Bollywood from a recent event, a reporter asked Rautela if she had anything to say for Rishabh Pant, to which she replied “All I want to say is nothing. Sorry, I’m sorry.”

She gave a cryptic reply with folded hands, seeing and hearing which a section of the audience thought she has apologized to Rishabh Pant for the comments and the remarks that she had passed on him recently. But, on Wednesday, she took to her Instagram and posted a story clarifying the same and said:

“These days official news articles and so called meme pages (worst marketers) are more scripted than movies or a tv show !!! That sorry was for my fans & loved ones that I had nothing to say…. #WhyTheNewIsNotTheTruth #falsemisleadinglight #greatscript #FactsAreNotCopyrightable.”

A month ago, Urvashi Rautela, during an interview, had said that a "Mr. RP" waited for her in the lobby of her hotel for hours but she could not meet him. The cricket fans immediately assumed RP to be Rishabh Pant as the two used to be linked together. To her remarks, Rishabh Pant had posted a befitting reply on his Instagram story before deleting it, saying people do anything to gain attention, and wrote ‘Leave me alone.’ Since then, the story has been taking new twists and turns.
