During the ongoing second Test between India and Bangladesh at the Green Park Stadium in Kanpur, a passionate Bangladesh cricket fan, 'Tiger Robi', was reportedly hospitalised following an alleged assault with local spectators during the first day of the second Test match.

Tiger Robi is easily identifiable by his distinctive leopard-print attire and the Bangladesh flag proudly displayed on his chest. However, in Kanpur, he was treated aggressively by a group of Indian fans. He mentioned that the people in the crowd pushed him and snatched his country’s flag right out of his hand.

A video video shows the distressed fan seated unconsciously, surrounded by other spectators and police officers. Authorities escorted him to a nearby hospital for medical attention. It is believed that the Bangladeshi fan was abusing Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj on the boundary line.

Tiger Robi, whose real name is Shoaib, previously reported facing verbal abuse during the first Test in Chennai. He claimed that local fans taunted him with chants of "Mauka Mauka". Shoaib expressed his disappointment, emphasising that as a ticket-holding spectator supporting an overseas team, he deserved respect.

Meanwhile, leading the series 1-0, the hosts have had a dominating time on the field so far on Day 1 of the second Test. Winning the toss India asked the tourists to bat first, with the score currently standing at 107/3.
