Mohammed Siraj has been a vital cog for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) since making his move to the popular franchise in 2018. He has picked up 80 wickets for RCB in 85 matches he has played so far.

Siraj burst onto the scene while playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, but he honed his skills, especially in the shortest format of the game, during his time at RCB. During his tenure, the Bengaluru-based franchise made it to the playoffs in three consecutive editions - 2020, 2021, and 2022.

However, the title has eluded the Bengaluru-based franchise. Over the years, RCB have faced trolls and criticism for not being able to go the distance in the Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the passion from the fans hasn't diminished one bit as they turn up in numbers for every match and cheer for their team through thick and thin.

The beloved Mr. Nags recently asked Siraj about his cricketing dream on the RCB Insider podcast. The right-arm pacer said that he wants to lift the T20 World Cup 2024 Trophy next month. Mr Nags asked if he has the dream of winning the coveted IPL title with RCB. The Hyderabad-born seamer covered his face with his hand and sported a wry smile. The cheeky reaction of Siraj got fans to burst into laughter, while some lauded the cricketer for his desire to lift the cup for the nation.

The Royal Challengers had a disastrous start to their IPL 2024 campaign, as they managed to win just one out of their first eight matches. This included a six-match losing streak. However, they managed to turn things around in the second half of the tournament by winning five games on the trot.

With six wins and seven losses from 13 games, RCB are positioned at No. 6 on the points table. They will be playing their last league game against defending champions Chennai Super Kings on Saturday, May 18, at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This is a do-or-die encounter for Faf du Plessis and Co. but they have momentum on their side.
