In the video, a right-arm dibbly dobbly bowler delivers a fullish ball outside leg stump to a right-hander. While the batter fails to take advantage of it and gets a leading edge on the ball, the bowler runs forward to take the catch but fails to hold onto the sitter.
To make matters worse, while the two batters on the pitch attempted to squeeze out a single, the bowler tried to run out the batter at the striker's end with an underarm throw from an unmissable distance, but missed it too! The batter, who survived the run out scare raised both his hands in the air in elation following the hilarious incident.
Here is how Twitterati reacted to the hilarious incident:
Not sure why the batsman is cheering those errors, they still need 91 from 21 balls!

I love that the batsman isn't satisfied with that carnage, and is actually, for a moment there, thining about running a second for the overthrow. 🤣

The clash between the two sides in the ECS
Speaking about the match, Mater Dei registered 135 runs at the expense of just one wicket in their stipulated ten overs. Azeem Sathi’s unbeaten knock of 70 off 36 balls and Shrijay Patel’s 41 off just 15 balls guided the side to a mammoth total.
In response, the Overseas were no match for them as they ended up scoring just 73 runs for five wickets and lost the game by 62 runs.
