The ongoing ODI World Cup 2023 is reaching its peak with India and Australia facing each other in the summit clash of the tournament on Sunday, November 19. One of the most looked-forward-to moments of the competition was the battle between Virat Kohli and Afghanistan pacer Naveen-ul-Haq.

Both players were involved in a heated feud in the 16th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, and as fans looked forward to both of them facing each other in the World Cup, both Kohli and Naveen decided to put a lid on the feud and patched things up as they were spotted having a friendly chat and hugging it out.

Speaking of the same, Naveen came forward to reveal the chat he had with Kohli when India took on Afghanistan. "We got support in every game apart from that one game against India. Rather than that, we got a home kind of feeling; he told me, 'Let's finish it.' I said, Yeah, let's finish it. We laughed about it, hugged, and moved on. He also said that after this, you won't hear my name. You will only hear support from the crowd," Naveen-ul-Haq told Lucknow Super Giants.

Both Naveen and Kohli were involved in a heated argument in game 43 of the IPL 2023 when Lucknow Super Giants took on Royal Challengers Bangalore, which even extended onto the entire side having to separate Kohli and Naveen, with former Indian batter Gautam Gambhir getting involved in the mix as well.

India gear up to take on Australia for World Cup glory

Talking of team India, the side has been putting in excellent performances at the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Currently unbeaten in the competition, the Men in Blue have been in superb form and have made it to the summit clash of the World Cup 2023.

The 'Men in Blue' will be going up against the Pat Cummins-led Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, November 19, and it could prove to be a gruelling battle for both sides and it could be interesting to see which side comes out on top in the final.
